As the Tubb’s Fire raged toward Safari West, Peter found he couldn’t leave his preserve undefended. Thanks to his fight to save nearly a thousand animals with little more a few garden hoses, the American Red Cross has chosen to honor Peter with their 2018 Animal Rescue Hero award.
